Eccentric or Tacky?
They say one man's junk is another man's treasure, but when does it go wrong with fashion? In many ways one can go from accentric to tacky very quickly. The difference is, although the previous can be somewhat oxymoronic, the complete look still makes sense. On the contrary, the latter can be misconstrued as originality by its creator.
If the concept of a fashion statement is lost in translation, then the focus becomes confusing. Your eyes begin to wonder all over the place and you're not sure exactly where to look or what to look at. Being overwhelmed by "too much" can serve as a distraction rather than curiousity so be careful. There is a thin line between classy and trashy and you never want to overshadow the person with an excess of "stuff" you must sift through to get to them. Rather it be jewelry, belts, scarfs, or whatever, don't lose the person behind it all. The key to any great look is properly layering and balancing wardrobe, fashion and pieces.
